Service animals are allowed and with prior approval well behaved pets can stay too.
Bar Point is an isolated location, there are no shops or road access. If you have health or mobility considerations it may not be suitable. There is a long staircase up to the house.
Behind the house is native bushland which extends into hundreds of kilometres of uninhabited National Park, uninhabited by humans that is, you may meet some of the wildlife.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
We are on the electrical grid and there is an oven, microwave and gas cooktop. We get our water from the sky and ask that you be careful not to use too much.
Your car can be left on the 'mainland' at Kangaroo Point public wharf which is about 2 kms before Brooklyn township or Deerubbin Reserve boat ramp. Take the Mooney Mooney/Brooklyn turnoff. We can also pick you up in our boat from the Hawkesbury River Train Station which is a very pleasant hours ride from Central. There is a fee per trip in the boat which can carry up to 4 passengers. If your group is larger it may be more convenient for you to book a ride with the Hawkesbury Water Taxi Service.
